Terms of Use
The rules for using ELRO, and what is down to you.
Last updated 25 October 2026
1. About these terms
These terms apply to your use of the ELRO website (www.elro.ie) and the ELRO app, which are run by ELRO ("we", "us"). By creating an account, paying for a project or using the service, you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the service. If you use ELRO for a business, you confirm you can bind that business to these terms.
Please read them with our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy.
2. What ELRO does
ELRO helps you create a brand identity. You show what you like, ELRO uses artificial intelligence to design concepts, you refine and approve one, and ELRO builds a brand pack: a style guide, logo files, colours, type choices and icons. The designs are generated automatically. ELRO is not a law firm, a trademark agent or a professional design agency, and nothing it produces is legal, financial or professional advice.
3. Accounts and eligibility
You must be at least 18 to use the service. Give accurate details, keep them up to date, and keep your password secure. You are responsible for everything done through your account, and for telling us promptly if you think it has been misused.
4. Price and payment
A project is paid for with one credit, at the fixed price shown to you at checkout, plus any tax that applies. There is no subscription. You can start a project, see concepts and use the rounds of changes before you pay. Until a project’s credit has been paid, every concept carries a preview watermark and cannot be approved or downloaded, and we limit how much free work we do, which we may change. Payment is taken once, when you approve a design. Payments are processed by Stripe, and you agree to Stripe’s terms when you pay.
If a payment is refunded, the project is cancelled and its concepts, brand pack and downloads are no longer available. Contact us at hello@elro.ie about any payment problem. Nothing in these terms limits any right you have by law as a consumer.
5. Your content
"Your content" means what you give us or the service: your business name and description, your choices, reference images, feedback and anything else you upload or type. You keep your rights in it. You give us permission to store, copy and process it, including with artificial intelligence services, only as needed to provide the service to you.
You confirm that you own your content or have the right to use it, and that it does not infringe anyone’s rights or break the law. You are responsible for your content and for any claim that it infringes someone else’s rights.
6. Collaborators
You can invite other people to give feedback and vote. You choose whom to invite and what to show them. You are responsible for your collaborators’ access, for telling them how their data is used, and for anything you share with them. Their feedback is advice to you. The decision to approve a design is yours alone.
7. Approving a design is final
When you approve a concept and ask ELRO to build your brand pack, the design is locked and cannot be changed or withdrawn. A later design change needs a new project. Look closely at every file and the colours, spelling and details before you approve.
8. Intellectual property
We and our licensors own the website, the app, the software and the ELRO name and branding, and you may not copy or reuse them except as these terms allow. Once your project is complete and paid for, you may use the brand pack you receive for your own business and brand, including publishing it and having it produced by others, subject to these terms and to the rights of third parties.
Because designs are generated automatically, a design may resemble existing work, and we do not promise that any design is unique, original or free from third-party rights.
9. Trademarks and legal checks are your responsibility
ELRO does not provide trademark clearance, design or domain name searches, or advice on whether a name, logo or colour can be registered or used. Before you register, publish or rely on a brand, you are responsible for searching for conflicting names, logos and domains, taking your own professional advice, and making sure your brand and its use comply with the law and with any industry rules that apply to you.
10. What you are responsible for
To the extent the law allows, you are responsible for:
- your content, and having the right to use and share it;
- the people you invite, and what you share with them;
- reviewing every design, file and detail before you approve, and for your decision to approve;
- how you use the brand pack, including checking that it suits your purpose and meets legal, advertising, accessibility and printing requirements;
- trademark, name, domain and other legal checks (section 9);
- keeping your own copy of anything you rely on, by downloading your brand pack;
- keeping your account and password secure; and
- any loss, cost or claim that results from the above.
11. Acceptable use
Do not use the service to break the law, infringe others’ rights, upload harmful, deceptive or offensive material, attempt to gain unauthorised access, interfere with or overload the service, copy or scrape it in bulk, or use its output to mislead people. We may remove content or suspend access if you do.
12. Analytics and cookies
We use analytics on the website and in the app to understand traffic and behaviour. Where the law requires, we ask for your consent first. See the Cookie Policy and Privacy Policy.
13. Availability and changes to the service
We aim to keep the service available, but it may be unavailable from time to time for maintenance, faults or reasons outside our control. We may change, add or remove features. We will take reasonable steps to keep your completed brand available to download, and you should keep your own copy.
14. Disclaimers
The service and its output are provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we do not promise that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that any design will be accurate, unique, registrable, suitable for your purpose or free from third-party rights. Artificial intelligence output can contain mistakes, so check it before you rely on it.
15. Limit of liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of profit, revenue, business, goodwill or data, arising from your use of the service or the brand pack. Our total liability to you for all claims relating to a project is limited to the amount you paid for that project.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that cannot be excluded or limited by law, and it does not affect your statutory rights as a consumer.
16. You protect us from claims arising from your actions
To the extent the law allows, you will compensate us for any loss, cost or claim (including reasonable legal fees) that arises from your content, from your collaborators, from how you use the brand pack, or from your breach of these terms.
17. Suspension and ending
You may stop using the service at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms or misuse the service, or if the law requires. Sections that by their nature should continue, including sections 5, 8 to 10 and 14 to 16, continue after access ends.
18. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We will change the date at the top and, for significant changes, tell you in a suitable way. If you keep using the service after a change takes effect, you accept the updated terms.
19. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of Ireland, and the courts of Ireland have jurisdiction, except that if you are a consumer you keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live and may bring a claim in the courts there.
