A busy market
In Dublin, the logo is often the first thing a customer remembers.
Dublin has more new businesses than anywhere else in Ireland. A café, a barber, a design studio and a software start-up can open within a few streets of each other, and a customer choosing between them usually sees a sign, a social profile or a website before anything else.
That makes a logo that works everywhere more valuable than a clever one that works in one place. It has to read on a shopfront and on a phone screen, sit on a dark website header and a printed menu, and shrink to the size of a browser tab without turning to mush.
ELRO designs the logo and every version of it from one approved design, so the fascia, the website and the invoice agree from the first day you trade.
What Dublin businesses ask of a logo
Built for the places a Dublin brand shows up.
Shopfronts and street signs
The horizontal and stacked logos cover fascia signs, door vinyl and A-boards. The symbol on its own suits window stickers and takeaway cups.
Co-working and tech
A founder who works from a shared desk and pitches in a boardroom needs a reversed logo for dark slides, a favicon for the website and an app icon for a product.
Professional services
A clean one-colour version for letterheads, stamps and invoices keeps a consultancy or a practice consistent on paper and on screen.
Hospitality and retail
Menus, bags, packaging and social posts all need the same look. The style guide shows which version goes on which background.
Selling beyond Ireland
Many Dublin businesses sell abroad from the start. A colour palette with exact values means a printer in another country matches your colours.
Co-founders and partners
Send a partner a link and they can vote on the concepts without creating an account, so the decision is made once.
The Dublin picture
Where Ireland's new businesses are starting.
Dublin accounts for over 40 per cent of the companies formed in Ireland: 11,450 of the 26,500 new start-ups recorded in 2025, according to CRIF Vision-net, which builds its figures from Companies Registration Office data. In the first nine months of 2026, new company formations in Dublin were up 13 per cent on the same period of 2025.
Those figures count companies, so sole traders and partnerships come on top. The practical point for a new Dublin business is that a lot of new names are arriving, and an identity that is finished from the start gives yours a better chance of being remembered.

How it works
No brief, no meetings, no waiting for a quote.
Tell ELRO your business name and what it does in a sentence, then tap like or dislike on styles. ELRO makes three distinct concepts, you choose one, and your credit includes three rounds of changes. Approve it and ELRO builds the full pack.
Everything happens online, so a founder between meetings in Dublin 2 and a shop owner in Dublin 15 get the same process.
Before you register or print
Check the name first.
Search the Companies Registration Office for company names, and search the Intellectual Property Office of Ireland and EUIPO for trade marks, before you commit to signage or packaging. Check that a matching domain and social handles are free too. ELRO does not provide trademark clearance.
The Local Enterprise Office for your part of Dublin offers advice and training to new businesses, and is a good place to ask about the practical steps of starting up.
Questions, answered.
Does ELRO design logos for Dublin businesses?
Yes. ELRO is an online service, so it works for a business anywhere in Dublin. You tap the looks you like and ELRO designs the logo and the files that go with it.
Is ELRO a design studio in Dublin?
No. ELRO is an online service rather than a studio you visit, so there are no meetings to arrange. It works the same for a business in any part of Dublin or anywhere in Ireland.
Can I use the files for a shopfront sign or a van?
Yes. The pack includes vector SVG files, a one-colour logo and a colour palette with HEX and RGB values, which is what a sign maker or vehicle graphics supplier asks for first.
I am a start-up in a co-working space. Is the pack enough for a pitch?
It gives you the logo in the versions a deck and a website need, including a reversed logo for dark slides, a favicon and a style guide. ELRO does not write the pitch deck itself.
Does ELRO check that my Dublin business name is free to trademark?
No. ELRO does not provide trademark clearance. Search the company and trade mark registers before you register or rely on your identity commercially.
